Full-stack developer in the public sector, working across TypeScript, Python and the cloud. I like small teams, clear interfaces, and code that's still easy to change a year later.
I build internal systems for public agencies, so I can't share code, screenshots or links. These summaries describe the problem, my part, and the result in general terms. I'm happy to go deeper on architecture in an interview.

Permit application modernization
State agency · public-facing service
Problem
Residents applied for permits on paper forms that staff re-typed into a 20-year-old database. Average processing took 6 weeks.
What I did
Designed the online application flow and the API that feeds the legacy database, so the old system could stay in place during the move.
Impact
Processing time fell to 9 days. 70% of applications now arrive online.

Field inspection mobile app
City department · internal tool
Problem
Inspectors wrote notes on clipboards and entered them at the office the next day, which delayed reports and caused errors.
What I did
Built an offline-first app that saves inspections on the device and syncs when a connection returns, including photos and signatures.
Impact
Reports are filed same-day. Data-entry errors dropped by about 60%.

Records request tracker
County office · staff dashboard
Problem
Public records requests were tracked in shared spreadsheets, and legal deadlines were sometimes missed.
What I did
Built a tracker with automatic deadline reminders, role-based access, and an audit log for every change.
Impact
No missed deadlines in the first year. Staff stopped maintaining four separate spreadsheets.

About me
I got into programming by automating a spreadsheet at my first part-time job, and I still enjoy the moment when a tedious task disappears.
These days I care most about developer experience, readable code reviews, and products that respect people's time. I like building tools that make government services simpler for residents and staff, and I'm happiest on small teams where I can work across the whole stack.
Outside of work I contribute to open source, mentor new developers, play guitar badly, and spend too long tuning my editor setup.
